Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)
You work hard for your money! Come to CCF’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program site to make sure you’re getting all the tax credits you deserve. We provide FREE tax counseling and tax return preparation for families from around the state of Rhode Island. IRS-certified CCF staff and volunteers help you prepare both your Federal and State tax returns; and because we E-file, you’ll have your refund check before you know it.
But more than just return preparation and filing, we help make sure you’re claiming all the credits for which you may be eligible, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC). We schedule appointments weekdays and evenings from mid-January to mid-April, and we’re here to help throughout the year as well. Filing late?
