Erin Spaulding Named CCF’s Next Executive Director

Woonsocket, RI, January 10, 2022. Connecting for Children and Families (CCF) announced today the hiring of Erin Spaulding as its next Executive Director.  Spaulding has more than 24 years of experience in developing and leading community programs and has dedicated her career to improving the lives of children and families in urban communities.

“We are excited to have Erin Spaulding join CCF as its next Executive Director.  Her drive and commitment to transforming the lives of community members, as well as her experience and education, make her the ideal fit as CCF’s next leader,” said CCF Board Chair, Lisa Carcifero. “The Board participated in a national search to find the next Executive Director of CCF.  After interviewing many qualified individuals, we are confident Erin will bring the leadership and passion that we have come to expect from the position.”

Spaulding follows long-time Executive Director, Terese Curtin.  Curtin retired at the end of 2021 after dedicating 25 years to the organization.  Curtin worked hard to set CCF up for long-term success, including securing financial stability and tremendous community support, ensuring that the organization is prepared for this transition of leadership.

As the Executive Director, Spaulding will work closely with the 18-member Board of Directors and a staff of 50 to continue CCF’s mission of transforming the lives of children and families in Woonsocket and Northern Rhode Island.   CFF offers a wide range of programming that support children and their families across their lifetime.  From offering home-based services to expectant parents to providing high-quality educational enrichment for children and youth, CCF is a leader in setting children up for success.  Additionally, CCF offers supportive services for adult family members, including workforce development training through its NRI Career Academy, financial empowerment education, tax return preparation assistance, and access to basic necessities such as food and clothing.

“I am honored to be the next Executive Director of CCF and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue CCF’s positive impact on the Woonsocket and Northern Rhode Island communities,” said Spaulding. “I admire CCF’s commitment to a two-generational philosophy, supporting young people and their families from cradle to career. The alignment of my own personal mission and goals and those of CCF means so much to me. I look forward to working with the board, staff, members, supporters, and partners of CCF to continue transforming the lives of children and families in Woonsocket.”

Erin holds an M.S. in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College and a B.S. in Psychology from Union College.  Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Youth Development and Family Strengthening in a social service branch of the Old Colony YMCA. Spaulding starts on January 10, 2022.  CFF will be hosting a series of virtual meet and greets with the new Executive Director over the next few months.  Check CCF’s Facebook page (@CCFCenter95) and website (www.ccfcenter.org) for more information and updates.
