After School Programs
CCF offers Kids' Adventure, an after-school enrichment program at Citizens’ Memorial and Kevin K. Coleman Elementary Schools
Enrichment includes homework help, reading and math remediation, music, art instruction, cooking classes, sports, STEM programming and more for children in kindergarten through grade five. The program runs for three 8-week sessions and during February and April vacation weeks.
Woonsocket Middle School 21st Century Community Learning Center
After-school activities offer a variety of academic and social enrichment programs including art, theater, literary magazine, girl scouts, boy scouts, Teen Outreach program, athletics, and community service. Additionally, Homework Club is offered five days a week during the three 8-week sessions. Programming is also provided during school vacation weeks in February and April.
Woonsocket High School 21st Century Community Learning Center
Enrichment includes academic and social enrichment opportunities including art, athletics, community service, debate club, martial arts, robotics, science Olympiad, ACE Mentoring, Teen Outreach program, and yoga, aimed at promoting academic success and decreasing the drop-out rate. To help students be successful in school, Homework Club is offered three days a week to students, which includes math, science, English, portfolio and any other subjects as needed.
Summer Learning Opportunities
Chillin' & Skillin'
Chillin’ & Skillin’ has been recognized with an Outstanding Program Award by the Rhode Island After-School Plus Alliance. By integrating a math & literacy curriculum into enrichment activities, this six-week summer learning program for students in grades 3-5 provides an alternative to summer camp and helps prevent summer learning loss. Students participate in art, theater, environmental science, health and safety, sports, swimming, cooking and weekly field trips. Breakfast and lunch is served every day.
Get Connected Summer Camp
Get Connected Summer Camp is a six-week summer learning program for students in grades 6-8 and is held at the Woonsocket Middle School. We provide opportunities in environmental science, zoology, technology, recycled arts, service learning, gardening, games, art, sports, cooking & nutrition, swimming, field trips, etc. Breakfast and lunch is served every day.
Camp Discovery is a six week summer camp for students in grades K-2. Students participate in programs in science, math, reading, art, physical education and are able to go on field trips weekly. Breakfast and lunch is served every day
8th Grade Summer Transition
The Summer Transition program is offered to 8th grade students who have failed 1-4 subjects in school. This six week course gives students an opportunity to earn class credit in order to transition onto Woonsocket High School, as well as remediation in all core subjects.
